Core Team
Amanda Jones
Amanda is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters of Health Science and works with the Child Nutrition Department for Henderson County Public Schools. Prior to the school system, Amanda worked as a clinical dietitian for 7 years. She has been a CAN member since 2016 and on the core team since 2019. While not " dietitianing" she enjoys running, hiking, and being with a team of athletes. She loves spending time with her family (husband, four children, and our black lab), gardening, building things, and enjoying the outdoors in summer and winter alike.
Camden Stewart
Camden Stewart is a Community Health Improvement Specialist at the Henderson County Department of Public Health, and the lead for the Community Health Assessment. She also serves a dual role as the Partnership for Health Coordinator. In early 2020, Camden joined CAN in her previous position as a Health Educator, responsible for program planning and evaluation related to physical activity and nutrition. Her responsibilities at the Health Department have since evolved, but her commitment to community health improvement in the realm of food access and opportunities for activity are unchanged.
Camden is a graduate of the Masters of Public Health program at UNC’s Gilling’s School of Global Public Health in Chapel Hill, NC. In her free time, Camden enjoys eating at local restaurants, exploring the mountains, trying out new recipes, and spending time with her family.
